Previously I managed the websites and e-marketing for Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine, the joint venture destination marketing company comprised of the three ski resorts in the Canadian Rockies; Lake Louise, Sunshine Village and Ski Banff Norquay.
After almost 9 years I joined ResLogic Inc. travel reservations software, assisting tour operator clients with their E-marketing efforts, specifically to develop and drive sales to their online travel booking engines.
In 2006, I joined Brewster Inc. as Manager of e-Strategies and currently manage numerous websites and e-Marketing campaigns for their many divisions which include Brewster Vacations Canada, Brewster Sightseeing Excursions, the Banff Gondola, the Columbia Icefield, the Mount Royal Hotel and many more.
I also sit on the e-Strategy Working Group made up of key marketing professionals in the area who provide advice, recommendations and direction for Banff-Lake Louise Tourism.
I was honoured to be a member of the first-ever Canada e-Tourism Council representing marketing professionals from various sectors and regions of Canada. The council convenes each year to discuss and share ideas as well judge the annual Canada e-Tourism Awards. More recently, I was asked to sit on the 2011 Canada E-Connect Advisory group, a committee who recommends and organizes content and programming for Canada’s premier E-Tourism conference.
I was privileged to receive special recognition for online innovation during my time with Brewster Inc. A leading content management provider; Ektron, named the Brewster Vacations Canada website the Best Travel Site for 2008. This site was developed in cooperation with E-cubed Media Synthesis.
I was very proud to receive a 2008 Travel Alberta Alto Award recognizing Vacations Canada TV, an ongoing online travel video campaign. In our pilot season, we showcased Alberta travel experiences under the brand of Vacations Canada TV placing Alberta travel destinations in the national spotlight.
In 2009 Vacations Canada TV was recognized as one of three finalists for the National Awards for Tourism Excellence in the category of Online Innovation of the year. Hosted by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, these national awards are presented to recognize businesses and their employees that have excelled in Canadian tourism.
